A Baltic Symphony of Life

Seagulls photography Mrzeżyno captures the wild spirit of the Baltic coast. With wings stretched over sandy shores, these birds bring life to the seaside horizon.

On the charming beach of Mrzeżyno, where the Baltic Sea gently kisses the shore,

I had the honour of capturing a vibrant symphony of movement and life – seagulls in their natural habitat. These iconic coastal birds are not just part of the landscape but lively characters full of energy and personality.

My photos prominently feature Black-headed Gulls (Chroicocephalus ridibundus)

the smallest of the Baltic gull species. 

Their unmistakable deep chocolate-brown heads during breeding season set them apart. 

Agile and full of life, they soar and circle above the beach,

their fascinating behaviours an endless source of inspiration for any photographer. 

These clever birds have adapted to living alongside humans, feeding on fish and leftovers from beachgoers an intelligence that both amazes and delights.

Also present are the imposing Herring Gulls (Larus argentatus), 

the largest of the region, distinguished by their snowy-white plumage and powerful beaks. 

They embody the strength and resilience of the Baltic winds that shape their character. 

These majestic birds command admiration and respect 

their presence a powerful, natural element of the coastal scenery.

Among them, you can spot juvenile gulls just learning to navigate life 

their warm brown feathers symbolising the journey to adulthood. 

These curious and playful “gull kids” are true treasures, revealing the beauty and fragility of young life.

Each photograph freezes a moment between dynamic flight and serene stroll,

between the whisper of the wind and the soothing murmur of the waves. 

The seagulls of Mrzeżyno bring the shore alive, 

weaving an ageless story of nature’s beauty, resilience, and delicate balance.
